German inflation confirmed at 2.2% in April

German inflation eased further to 2.2% in April, the federal statistics office said on Wednesday, confirming preliminary data. German consumer prices, harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, had risen by 2.3% year-on-year in March.

France's Atos restores annual guidance after restructuring, sets 2028 targets

(Reuters) -French IT group Atos issued an annual revenue guidance on Wednesday, after it had suspended financial forecasts last year due to its restructuring, and said it targeted revenue of up to 10 billion euros ($11 billion) in 2028. Once seen as a European tech champion with a market value of more than 10 billion euros at its highest, Atos emerged from financial troubles in 2024 thanks to a restructuring agreement with its creditors. Atos expects to generate 8.5 billion euros in revenue this year, an 11% drop from 2024, citing voluntary contract reviews and low business traction prior to the completion of its rescue plan.

Alstom forecasts softer cash flow after strong annual beat, shares fall

(Reuters) -French train maker Alstom reported an annual free cash flow well above market expectations on Wednesday, in a sign its cash issues were now solved, but its shares slumped after its forecast for the current year disappointed investors. Alstom, which had taken long to recover from its costly 2021 acquisition of Bombardier's rail business, reported a free cash flow of 502 million euros ($561.6 million) for the year that ended on March 31, ahead of the 330 million analysts polled by the company had expected. The earlier cash issues had been partly due to Alstom inheriting problem contracts through the acquisition.

Exclusive-Tesla to resume shipping Chinese parts for Cybercab, Semi production in the US, source says

SHANGHAI (Reuters) -Tesla plans to start shipping components from China to the U.S. for the production of Cybercab and Semi trucks from the end of this month, after the U.S. and China reached a truce over tariffs, said a person with direct knowledge. Reuters reported last month that Tesla had suspended plans to ship the components after U.S. President Donald Trump raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 145%, potentially disrupting Tesla's plan to start mass production of the much-anticipated models.
